May 12, 2018 - Massey Aerodrome Chili Fiesta Fly-In

Heading over to Massey Aerodrome for their annual spring fly-in.  Weather wasn't bad but it wasn't great either; kind of hazy.  I cruised up the Chester River which leads to Massey.

Someone is having a big estate built on this Point.  It will be awesome.

I arrived early for a change.  Lynnette had made a tray of her always delicious pulled pork.  Even though it was a Chili fiesta, I figured they would take the pulled pork.  And they did.  It didn't last long, either.

Parked in the RV row.

More RVs in RV row.  I like the idea of having our own row.

The turnout was fair but not as big as I've seen in the past.

Another look at RV row.

Chip flew over in "Double Trouble".

Beautiful Cessna 195 with the big radial nose.

A nice Swift.

Cessna 335 Skymaster.

Skybolt!

Another Stearman.  Can't have too many.

Packed hangar.   Hangar with the food.  Coincidence?  I don't think so.

I try some Bruce R. style photography.

Poor Stearman stuck inside.  Doesn't get to come outside and play.

They have a little glider operation at Massey.

Paul's Super Cub and Tom's Maule.

Vintage Ultralight.

Tom taxiis by.

There goes Chip.

"Double Trouble" puts out some serious smoke.

The big, beautiful T-28.

The business end of the T-28 coming in.

Great shot by a Massey photographer.

Mike B. in his RV-7.

Yours truly with clogged smoke injectors.

They always have some neat classic cars at Massey.

Nice!

The bright red paintjob on his coupe was incredible.
